What’s Changing?

Beginning May 1, for transactions where your card isn’t physically present—like online shopping—and when the activity seems suspicious, you’ll be prompted to verify it through a new, enhanced security step.
Here’s what you can expect:
Smarter One-Time Passcodes*
You’ll receive a one-time passcode via text message or email.
More Transparency
You’ll see the merchant’s name and purchase amount, so you know exactly what you’re approving.
This added step will only appear for unusual or high-risk transactions, providing you with an extra layer of protection—without interrupting your day-to-day purchases.

How It Works

When verification is required, here’s what you’ll see at checkout:

1. Secure Checkout Screen
After placing your order, you’ll be redirected to a secure verification screen.
2. Choose How to Receive Your Passcode

3. Enter Your Code to Confirm
Simply enter the passcode to complete your verification and finalize your purchase.

Your one-time passcode is confidential—just for you. Never share it with anyone, even if they claim to be from OAS FCU. We’ll never ask for it via phone, text, or email.
