If you have money on your Apple Pay Cash card, you will use this balance automatically when sending money. If you don't have enough for the payment, or don’t have a balance at all, the card* linked to your Apple Pay Cash account will be the payment method used to cover the transaction. You will see which card is being used on the confirmation screen.
Here's how to send money in an iMessage with an iPhone or iPad:
1. In iMessage, start a new conversation or select an existing one.
2. Tap , then tap .
3. To choose an amount, tap or . To enter an exact amount, select “Show Keypad.”
4. Select “Pay.” Adding a message to go with the payment is optional.
5. Tap . Then review the payment information or cancel, if incorrect. Your balance in Apple Pay Cash will be used to pay, first.
6. To send the payment, confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
Here’s how to send money using an iWatch:
1. In Messages, start a new conversation or tap an existing one.
2. Scroll down, then tap
3. To choose an amount, turn the Digital Crown. To enter an exact amount, tap the dollar amount, tap after the decimal, then turn the Digital Crown.
4. Tap Pay. To review the payment information or cancel, scroll down. Your money in Apple Pay Cash will be used to pay first.
5. To send the payment, double-click the side button.
Here’re the limits to send money:
- Per message, you can send a minimum of $1
- Per message, you can send up to $3,000**
- Within a 7-day period, you can send a maximum of $10,000**
*Money sent using a debit card or your Apple Pay Cash balance doesn’t incur a fee.
**The daily limit allowed for purchases and/or payments using your OAS FCU Debit Card is $2,000. You can request a temporary limit increase through your home banking. For members in Brazil, the daily limit for purchases and/or payments is $600.
